PR:ArmA2 will exist as a standalone modification. It will remain self contained, self developing and not rely on or use externally held add ons from other sources where at all possible. What that means to the player is that it will be a 'one stop shop' as an installation package, with no requirement for additional multiple add on packs.

We also want to emphasis we are not in direct competition with any of the other great mods out there. However as a team we want to see what we can now do with the Real Virtuality 3 engine, as well as the continued full scale continued development of PR for Battlefield2. We are not in any way changing engines. We have simply expanded the team's reach into ArmA2 with new developers. It is not PR2, nor are we ceasing PR:BF2 development.

Allmänt / Varför on-line DRM suger!

Det är tydligt att trenden går mot fler och fler spel/simulatorer som kräver on-line aktivering för att fungera/installera. Här är en tankeställare för er som tycker detta är helt OK (och/eller inte bryr sig just nu)...

Själv har jag endast köpt en simulator (DCS:BlackShark) som kräver on-line aktivering och enda anledningen var pga att ED själv skriver följande i deras FAQ samt det faktum att ED inte är några gröngölingar precis, de har funnits sedan F3/Flanker eran (dock ingen garanti att de inte går omkull)...

Kanske ED inte infriar sitt löfte om den dagen kommer men time will tell...

En annan vinkel på detta problem är att publishern för on-line aktiverade spel/sim nu har skaffat sig full kontroll över när vi skall sluta spela deras gamla spel/sim, när tror ni det händer? Gissningvis ganska kort efter att de släppt sin nya årliga version av samma spel/sim som de vill vi skall köpa.

Slutligen... inte för att jag brukar sälja mina spel/sim men jag vet att det finns de som gör det och ett on-line aktiverings DRM tar ju effektivt död på andrahandsmarknaden av beg. spel/sim eftersom licensen oftast är bunden till dig personligen, ganska självklart att även detta ligger i utvecklarnas/publisherns intresse eftersom de på så sätt ser möjlighet att tjäna mer pengar.

Filade vidare på min HOTAS profil i helgen och undrar om någon fått kläm på hur man använder laser designatorn i Ka-50 för att "buddy laza" Kh-25ML, Kh-29L eller laser bomber?

Med tanke på att FC 2.0 är här inom kort skulle jag vilja ha in det på min TQS/FLCS men jag verkar röra ihop det med den lasern som mäter avståndet i Shkvalen, står ju inte så mycket om det i manualen, någon som vet?

Börjar med JTD's Fire & Smoke addon 0.2 Beta. Klart nice och med denna blir det skogsbränder om det börjar brinna i närheten av träd som står tätt och om vinden ligger rätt. Dessutom, om man rör sig för fort i skog (eller skjuter) så skrämms fåglar upp o röjer ens position.

Förstod jag rätt ang. få igång Datalink för att ta emot data? Vill skriva ner en simpel SOP för annars lär jag glömma det tills nästa gång ;)

Denna lista förutsätter snabbstart med LWIN-Home.
