theyre partly responsible for the delay

well, our policy is to not burst around about plans and ideas, as i learned the hard way from Nils, and my quite frivolous posting lately, however much i am bursting to tell about them. fact is, plans can be changed, but once it's in, it's in, and we can show everyone what we have done. just check the forums and screenshot section from time to time, and you'll see what we have cooked up.

the leopard 2a6 is a leopard 2a5 with a longer gun. that's it.
the 2a6EX is the STRV 122 with a longer gun and some internal differences.

and the danes has an EX hybrid, with most of the armour features of the 122 except the roof armour. i don't know if the EX has TCCS though. i think the swedes has that.

i remember a few years ago they were putting the leopard 2a6EX up on top of the tank rankings, basically an STRV-122 with an L55 gun. sweden didn't choose the L55 because of the disadvantages such a long gun would have in forested areas.
in a newer test, however, the nutheads chose to rank the M1A2, challenger, and some other tank (think it was japanese type 90) before the leo2a6EX.
reason? M1A1(HA) (not M1A2) had been in combat in iraq, as well as the challenger 2.
iraq's tank fights was basically a turkey shoot. ANY modern tank is able to perform the mission with a similar sucess rate to the M1A1(HA) even the russian T-90,

well BS rankings ticks me off.

well, it's horribly unstable, and runs quite bad, at least on my computer, although that was the beta. but the newer version is probably more stable.

note of inaccuracies:

theres zoom on the GPS. the original T-72 has a fixed 8x sight, and a 1x periscope for wide FOV attached above the GPS.
the driver can see way too much, in reality he's only got a small periscope.
the HMG is switched too quickly, and there's no reload.
in reality, it's externally mounted, while the commanders sight is mounted internally, in the opposite direction of the HMG.

i didn't find out how to slew the commanders cupola (in reality you have 2 buttons to turn the turret into position), and didn't find out how to use the LRF,
mostly because of the language barrier.

it does look like an interesting game, and if the stability problems are fixed, and engine optimized, i think i might end up buying it.

always nice to know that the fame of the game is spreading :)
